|
Meet Arrow. Arrow is a male 5 ½ month old black and white Border Collie with a smooth coat. Arrow has the typical puppy behavior in that he would rather play rather than learn his lessons. He is on the active side with his energy level and need constant mental and physical stimulation to keep him from becoming destructive. Arrow is house trained, crate trained, and spends all night in his crate. He also knows, "sit", and "shake" and is learning down and stay. Since he is a puppy he is still learning house manners. With consistent training, Arrow should make a fine and loyal canine companion.
Arrow is learning how to play fetch and loves chasing the birds in the backyard. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves to wrestle with my Border Collie. He tries to show his dominance towards the little dog but that's where it stops. He may have some prey drive as he loves to chase the little dogs around the backyard.
Please do not apply for Arrow unless you have previous experience in raising a herding breed pup. Arrow was dumped into the shelter by his previous owners because they did not know how to channel his inner BC when it finally started to kick in.
Arrow's adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family. If you are interested in meeting Arrow, please submit an adoption application. In addition to the adoption application, applicants will be required to answer some additional questions pertaining to puppies which will be sent to you after the adoption application has been submitted. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. |
