Welcome!
BABS
Babs
Babs is a 2-3 year old classically marked female Border Collie.  She will be a semi rough to rough coated girl.  We say this because she has recently weaned puppies and is still blowing her coat.  What is there is fairly long and dry, having been depleted from the physical demands of pregnancy and nursing.  Given a good diet, her new coat should be silky soft.  Babs is on the smaller side, but she is very muscular.  She is a happy, bouncy, outgoing girl with a medium activity level.  She was a bit stressed at her first adoption event but walked beautifully on leash and we think as she gets used to going to adoption events (which we hope she won't since we want her to have a good home), she will show her true self better.

Babs has gotten along with all the dogs and is good with the little Papillons.  She has not been fully evaluated with children, but has shown no issues of fear when they have around her crate.  We do know one thing for certain, Babs is not good with cats or chickens!  They are just too much fun to chase and terrorize, so a home without them is a must.

Babs understands the use of a doggie door but we are not able to fully evaluate her on housebreaking as her eating the residents cats is not an option.  When she has been inside, there have been no accidents and she is very comfortable coming in.  (You can just tell when a dog is used to being inside or when they have been an outside only dog by how relaxed they are coming in.)  Babs travels well, with no car sickness, however she just lays down and doesn't want to watch the scenery.  As she travels to adoption events this should become routine and she might actually begin enjoying it.

Babs is hoping to be forever home for the holidays with a nice toy under the tree.  Are you willing to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl and make this Christmas special for her?
