Benji - Available for Adoption From Border Collies In Need (Location: Fresno, CA)
Meet Benji. Benji is a purebred ABCA Border Collie. He just turned five and weighs about 55 lbs.
Benji's person didn't have time for him anymore, and was shelter bound. A BCIN volunteer couldn't let that happen, so Benji was relinquished to BCIN. He is located in Fresno, CA.
Benji is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and rides well in a car. He was raised around small children, and is more tolerant than most BCs.
Benji was well bred, and born to work. He’s smart, has piercing brown eyes and endless energy. He’s always ready to play ball, and must go to a home that can provide him plenty of exercise and room to run. Got kids who want an enthusiastic playmate? Benji’s your boy! Benji will continue to thrive and blossom with mental stimulation that will help keep his temperament balanced. He would love to play sports such as Frisbee, agility, or fly ball. He's quite athletic.
Best of all, Benji is extremely affectionate. He gets along well with people and other dogs. However, because of his high energy level, he is not for first-time owners—only experienced herding dog owners please.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. Our dogs have been sterilized, microchipped, and are up to date on their vaccinations. The electronic application can be found on our website at www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html.
