COLBY

|
Colby is an adorable 5-6 months old female purebred Australian Shepherd puppy. She is a black tri with lovely copper points. Colby was rescued on 9/11 just a few hours before she was about to be euthanized. She had clear nasal discharge and the shelter had informed me that there had been problems with distemper. BCIN was her only chance of making it out of the shelter. Although a huge gamble, Colby was immediately taken to our vet where she spent a week recovering from a really bad upper respiratory infection. Since that time, she has grown so much.
Colby is really a very happy go lucky puppy. Although she does some of the puppy destruction stuff, she is such an easy going pup as far as pups go. She is affectionate and gets along well with the older dogs in her foster home. Most of all, you can see that she is just a typical happy youngster who would rather play than learn her lessons. We are pretty sure that Colby now knows how to sit on command. She is very treat motivated and will be a cinch to train. Colby is crate trained and walks very well on a leash. Colby has a very nice temperament and shows no negative traits in her sweet personality.
Colby is up to date on her vaccinations, has been de-wormed and also has been sterilized. Her adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. Since she is young, she is not totally housebroken nor has she been obedience trained. She has been showered with lots of TLC for socialization. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family. If you are interested in meeting this little bundle of joy, please submit an adoption application. In addition to the adoption application, applicants will be required to fill out a puppy questionnaire after the application has been submitted.
