CORKY | |
|
Corky Garner like the meaning of his name – is a joyful spirit. He is extremely intelligent, loves people, fun to work with and full of energy. New owner MUST be border collie and dog savvy – this dog is not for a novice.
The reason we are rehoming him is because he does NOT get along well with our senior male. We have had him for 15 months. He does get alone with female dogs and cats. Corky also has fear aggression which we are working on with a trainer and a behavior veterinarian. He will need continued socialization and work to overcome his shyness and fear. His prognosis is good.
Corky has been obedience trained, had a couple herding classes, and likes doing a number of tricks. Like most border collies he needs to be well exercised and trained daily (i.e. walked, do tricks, etc.), as well as have a large yard to run. He is housetrained and knows he’s not allowed on furniture.
If you are interested in adopting Corky, please submit an application to Border Collies in Need.
