|
Meet Diamond. Diamond is a female approximately 11 months old. She is a tri-colored semi rough coated beauty. She was named because she is actually a "Diamond in the Rough". She was rescued from a high kill shelter and was terrified very much while there. But, she quickly came out of her shell in a short few days when she realized she was in the hands of those who cared for her.
Diamond is a very happy girl and eager to please. She is still very much a puppy as she loves to run and play with her foster siblings. She is starting to learn to play ball and fetch. She walks well on a leash and is learning some basic commands. We think she is housebroken as she has not had any accidents in the house. She likes to hang out in the house with her foster parents.
Diamond would make a good family dog. She has been good with children, but like all rambunctious puppies, she is very active and therefore should be in a home only with older children. She has not been evaluated with cats.
Diamond requires firm guidance, since she is still young. The type of home that is best suited for her is a dog savvy or dog experienced home.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
