Meet Hunter. He is a handsome 12 months old male Border Collie that is traditionally black & white marked with a semi rough coat. What a sweet dog Hunter is. He craves human interaction and would love to be your canine companion. He really enjoys the company of other dogs and is well socialized with them. He is house trained, crate trained, knows his basic obedience, and walks well on a leash.
Hunter is typical of his breed: he's handsome, loyal, athletic, and intelligent. Hunter's energy is typical for his age, as he is still an energetic yearling. He will require a home that is active that will give him consistent physical activity, in addition to the mental stimulation that Border Collies require. Hunter was an owner surrender to BCIN, as he was rescued from an abusive environment at 8 months of age. His rescuer taught him manners and socialization skills, as he was left to pretty much fend for himself. Because of his rough start, the type of home that would be best suited for Hunter is one that has had previous Border Collie experience and understands their temperament, quirks and all. Hunter would not make a good candidate for the first time Border Collie owner.
Hunter will continue to blossom into an awesome dog with the proper owner. This dog has so much potential and is looking for his special person to show him the way.
