JACK

|
Jack is a beautiful 2-year-old black and white male purebred Border Collie with a semi-rough coat. He came to us as an owner turner when the family moved from a large property in Texas to California where only 4 of their six dogs were permitted. They reluctantly had to let Jack go.
In his former home, Jack coexisted peacefully with three other Border Collies in a fenced yard during the day, including the parents he was raised with. He sleeps in a crate in the house at night. Jack's activities are that he likes to chase things, primarily, and to receive love and affection. Jack has never shown any agression toward other animals or people. Jumping up for attention has been his biggest problem, so Jack could use some obedience training. He rides well in the car and is always ready to go. Jack's personality is active, playful, and eager to please; a typical Border Collie without the herding instinct. He can be a bit timid in new situations but does over come it. Jack is incredibly handsome, and we think he knows it. He responds to basic commands and could certainly learn many more. He's also very affectionate.
We think Jack will do best with at least one other, preferable a female, or with someone who has a lot of time to spend with him. He is ready to find his own person to bond with and would love to be home for Christmas.
