JAX | |
|
Jax is a one year old male Border Collie Blend, possibly with Aussie. He looks very similar to a Stabyhoun, but because there are only approximately 400 Stabyhouns in the US, not likely. Jax is a very playful boy and would love to be someone's only dog so he can have all the attention he needs. He is crazy for water and loves to be sprayed with a hose and goes diving into the kiddie pool at his foster home. Jax does get along with other female dogs but can be a little aggressive when playing. He would need another female his size, or bigger, who can take what he dishes out at play time. If by himself, he settles down nicely and is a sweetheart. He likes to play tug and will chase a ball and bring it back to you. Jax will need more training to become an all around great family dog. He has been around children 12 and older, and because of his size, 50 lbs., should not be around small children. He is housetrained, however he would need supervision in a new home for a while until he's used to the routine. Jax knows how to use a dog door, knows basic commands, ie., "sit", "stay", "come", is good on a leash and enjoys going for rides. Jax needs to be placed in a home that is willing to continue his training to make him an awesome dog. He just wants to please his human in every way.
Jax is being fostered in East San Diego County.
