JINX

Jinx is a 18-24 month-old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix. Solid black save a tiny white "tie". He is semi rough coat weighing in at 52 pounds the day of his neuter. This guy was just too nice to leave at the shelter!
Jinx runs mid to upper in the pack structure. He has to endure a very pushy younger male foster and he does so with grace and kind correction. He is quite the ladies man and all the girls love him. Doggie sex appeal. Jinx is also very good with puppies, something not all males are capable of. He has incredible patience.
At some point we think someone was unkind to Jinx with a leash or maybe he was just chained up? He can be a bit leery about his collar and being leashed. He is fine as long as he is not rushed and we will continue to work with him on this as long as he is with us. Once leashed he walks well. That being said, we would rather not place him in a home with toddlers as they tend to grab collars or hug a dog by the neck.
Jinx has mastered the doggie door, rides OK (he does drool) and tries to load into the truck by himself, though it is rather high. Such a nice boy that will reward you ten fold with his love and devotion. |
