Josh is a very nice 5-year old pure bred border collie with one blue eye and one brown eye. He is a black & white smooth coat, although his hair is actually quite long for a smooth coat. He is a very sweet boy who is well socialized with other dogs. Josh also loves to play with toys and is ball obsessed. He walks great on leash. Doesn't appear to be a barker - and if he does bark, it's very minimal.
In Josh's former life he must have enjoyed rocks as some of his teeth are ground down. Doesn't bother him a bit though. Sadly Josh was picked up as a stray after he was hit by a car on July 5th (escaped yard from fear of fireworks perhaps??). Josh was a very lucky boy as he was taken to a shelter wherein the shelter's vet was able to place him under anesthesia and manipulate his hip back into place, therefore avoiding expensive hip surgery and a long recovery period. Today he shows no sign of being hurt, other than missing a small patch of hair on his back and a thin strip on his tail as the result of road rash.
All in all Josh is a very nice dog with medium energy and has lots of love to give for many years. A great bonus is that Josh makes a great nap companion as he likes to rest his head on your stomach. He has not been evaluated with cats.
