Ladybug is a lovely 2 1/2 years old female border collie with a smooth coat. She has a partially docked tail, and we are unsure if it is naturally docked.
Ladybug, Khloe, and Harriet were relinquished by their owner to Border Collies In Need after a good Samaritan overheard that the owner had to move into a smaller place that did not allow pets. He was going to take them to a high kill shelter when she intervened and contacted us to see if we had room. Ladybug and Harriet are littermates and their mother is Khloe.
Ladybug is the most submissive of the trio. She will flourish and come into her own once she finds her forever home. She has medium energy, but enjoys exercise and playing with her sibling and mom. Her personality can be characterized as loving and affectionate. She is the most laid back of the trio.
We are working on her socialization skills outside the house and with other dogs. She can be a bit weary upon first meeting a new dog and will initially retreat when she meets them. Otherwise, she is fine with other dogs.
Ladybug is crate trained and is house trained. She walks decently on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Ladybug is fixated on cats, so a home without cats is a must.
Ladybug would be best placed in home that is willing to work on building her confidence and help her blossom into the awesome dog that we know that she can become.
