Miss Belle is a one year old black & white semi-rough coat girl who is very sweet and very active. She was an owner surrender to BCIN from a Marine because of a divorce and he couldn't spend the time with her that she deserved. Belle loves to play fetch, tug of war and will play all day in the sprinklers or being sprayed with a hose. She is crate trained, house trained, uses a dog door, loves to play with other dogs, walks good on a leash and rides great. Miss Belle is quick and agile and needs a job to do. She has a bit of OCD but only when she is outside and the other dogs don't want to play. She does settle down after awhile. Her Foster Mom just lets her do her thing. She is very quiet in the house showing no signs of the OCD. She spends the night in the kitchen on her bed without a sound or an incident.
Miss Belle needs to go to an active but quiet single family home with a yard for her to play in. She will not be suited for an apartment that has hallway entrances and an elevator. She feels threatened by all the people and thinks they are in her "home".
Miss Belle knows several commands, i.e., "sit", "down", "leave it", "go get it" (a toy), "off"(person or counter), "where's the ball", "go potty". She loves to play with the flirt pole as it stimulates her physically and mentally. Miss Belle would make an awesome great sports dog, i.e., Agility, Flyball (she has high ball drive), Disc Dog, and possibly a Dock Dog. Miss Belle is being fostered in East San Diego County.
