Sara is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Aussie mix who is sweet as sugar and looking for her forever home! Sara has been fostered in Costa Mesa for a few weeks and though she was really shy when she first arrived she has really come out of her shell in a short time and adapted beautifully to life in a home.
Sara is housebroken, walks extremely well on the leash, knows (and loves!) the doggy door, and is a self-entertainer who loves to chew on tough rope toys! It is not unusual to find Sara laying upside down sleeping all over the house, in her crate, or in the backyard grass catching some sun on her tummy. She is extremely good about just “chillin'” and has gotten along great with my other two female dogs.
Sara is submissive to my larger Border Collie when playing and loves to wrestle with her in the grass. She would be well-suited in a home with another dog, but could work as an only dog, too, because she loves being spoiled and given 100% of your attention. She doesn't know many tricks yet but she has learned some basics (sit, down, and stay) very quickly. This little girl has got beauty and brains! We're still working on “fetch” and since she's a dog who is both sensitive and loves to please I have no doubt she would be great with Frisbee or Flyball.
So if you're looking for a dog who can one minute be your best friend in your lap giving you lots of puppy kisses and the next minute off doing her own thing then Sara is your girl!
