Savannah is a young adult, about 2 years old, tri colored (White, Black, Brown) female Border Collie / Aussie mix with a semi rough coat. Savannah is crate trained, walks on a leash and does not show too much interest in the cats at her foster home. She gets along well with other LARGE dogs of both genders, but, does tend to play quit exuberantly. Savannah is fairly obedient and very eager to please, HOWEVER, Savannah was returned to the shelter by her adopters due to the fact she would jump their 4 ft fence to chase rabbits and squirrels. Savannah is very inquisitive and has a "cat like" desire to be perched on the highest point of her domain in order to watch all that is going on. In her foster home, Savannah was constantly found balancing on tables, trashcans and statues, observing the neighborhood goings on! Savannah is such a typical non-stop wiggle butt, tail wagging happy little girl, it was difficult to get good pictures of her!
Savannah's perfect home will be one that is fairly active to meet her energy level but most importantly one that will meet her need for mental stimulation as she is an extremely bright dog. A secure, high fence is a MUST.
