Meet Shelby, a 1-year-old female black and white semi-rough coat Border Collie. She might be a mix, but this beauty looks more BC than not to us!
This little darling wants nothing more than human companionship. She craves it, so much so that she will become destructive when separated from her pack. Knowing this, we insist she be placed into a home with at least one other dog and prefer her to be in a home where she will be with her person(s) pretty much all day and night. She also has been around older children and does fine with them. She is, however, bothered by cats, so a home with no kitties is required.
Shelby is smart as a whip, which is why she already knows basic obedience and has good house manners. No potty accidents for this girl! She even will show off her voice to you (especially in the morning) with her patented "woo, woo" happy song.
She has done fairly well walking on a leash, and she has typical puppy energy for her age. We figure she will settle down once she becomes a mature adult.
Shelby is a very affectionate girl, and she will make a great all-around dog for the lucky people who snatch her up.
