SKEETER
| |
|
Skeeter is a darling 6-7 month-old male traditonally marked purebred Border Collie. Skeeter came to BCIN from a high kill shelter in Bakersfield. The day after he was rescued, he was rushed to the ER veterinarian after he collapsed in his foster home. He was diagnosed with a severe case of Parvo virus. Skeeter spent the next 9 days in the ER hospital and recovered fully. He is now back to being a normal and playful pup. Skeeter, as far as BC pups go, is about as easy as they come. He is such a happy go lucky little fella. He is about as affectionate as they come. Skeeter rides well in the car. He is well socialized with other dogs, and loves nothing more than a good morning romp. Skeeter is doggy door trained and will crate under protest.
Adopters must be committed to working with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well-behaved, and well-adjusted adult dog in your family. Skeeter's applicants will be required to complete a puppy questionnaire in addition to our standard application. Since puppies, even more so with herding breed puppies, are so challenging to raise, we want to make sure that you are aware of all that is involved in raising a Border Collie pup.
