SULLY |
|
Meet Sully. Sully is a 2-3 year old male purebred Australian Shepherd. BCIN was told that Sully was a BC by the shelter and he looked to be BC in his shelter photo. What a surprise to bail Sully and find out that he is an Aussie. The shelter assumed he was BC because he appeard to be black and white (Aussies with that color pattern are called black bi-color) Sully is a tri colored Aussie with a docked tail (look for the brown on his right rear leg).
Sully is a typical Aussie. He thrives with human interaction and he is outgoing. He's vocal, and he is also right in the middle of everyone's business. Sully also has that cute Aussie wiggle butt. He is affectionate and does get along with other dogs, although he can be dominant. Sully appears to know his obedience and walks well on a leash. He also will crate right up when traveling.
As with all herding breeds, an Aussie is happiest when he has a job to do. His energy can be channeled into dog sports or advanced trick training. Sully needs a person who is willing to provide clear concise direction and obedience. He also needs an active person who will provide him with daily exercise. He has not been evaluated with small children or cats.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
