Tashia is a a gregarious 2 ½ to 3 year female Border Collie Mix. She is black and white with a silky coat and is most likely mixed with Flat Coated Retreiver. This is a nice combination of a mix with BC. Tashia came to us from the Delano area of Central CA, where she was picked up by the shelter as a stray.
Tashis enjoys lots of interaction with humans and other dogs. She is that type of dog that wants to forge a close bond with you. She even adores the puppies, so she can be around smaller dogs. She is ever so affectionate and becomes your instant friend. Tashia has not been evaluated with children or with cats, so we don't know how she would do around them.
Tashia walks well on a leash and appears to know basic obedience. She does have manners, but she still requires some work. She will crate up fairly nicely. All in all, Tashia would make a nice canine companion, as her energy can be classified as medium. This means she would enjoy activity in her life, but will have an off button.
We are still getting to know Tashia better, so her biography will be revised as we learn more about her.
