BONNIE
|
|
Meet Bonnie. Bonnie is female Border Collie approximately 1 year old. She is traditionally marked black and white with a semi rough coat. Bonnie came to BCIN from the shelter when her owner did not claim her.
This lovely gal has the sweetest temperament. She is well socialized with humans and other dogs alike. Bonnie enjoys playing with her foster sibilings. She has been around children. BCIN does not recommend a home with children under 7 years of age. It is uncertain how Bonnie would react around cats, as she has not been evaluated with them.
Bonnie has nice house manners and she appears to be housebroken. She is also crate trained and is crated at night. Although Bonnie knows a few basic obedience commands and walks somewhat decently on a leash, she is a quick learner could use some more direction in her leash training.
Bonnie is a typical active border collie and requires a border collie savvy owner who understands the demands of a daily regimen of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her from getting bored. This yearling has really great long term potential, as she wants nothing more than to please her person. More of a "velcro" dog, Bonnie wants to be next to your side all the time.
The best suited home for Bonnie is one that is active, has another dog, a yard, and someone home part time.
If you are interested in meeting Bonnie, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. Our dogs have been sterilized, microchipped, and are up to date on their vaccinations. The electronic application can be found on our website at www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html.
