Meet Raven. I foster and volunteer at my local County animal shelter. This sweet, sweet baby girl came in and was sooooo scared she hid in the back of the kennel and was not getting adopted. I had scheduled with the foster coordinator to foster her, had her sitting curled up safely in my lap and had promised her I was going to take her home, love her and find her forever home, when a shelter staff member came in and said that a rescue was coming in a couple of days to consider rescuing her. I just could not leave her and they were having an adoption special, so I adopted her with the intent to rehome. Three days after I brought her home, I was called by the shelter to foster a very pregnant mama dog . . . So, I now have a mama dog and 9 puppies too! So, really need Raven to find her forever home!
Shelter staff feel that Raven is a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel mix. Vet estimates her age as 12-18 months. She is under 20 lbs. Raven is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, house trained and crate trained, and licensed in Ventura Co. She gets along very well with my two dogs and my cats. She is very sweet and playful. We love her, but I plan to continue being able to foster rather than adopting.
